What are you thankful for?

The Pursuit Of Happyness

Every year, I write a letter future dated to myself about how the year went. It’s written as if it’s already happened.

I read that letter 52 times a year. Every Monday morning before the week begins.

Along with my yearly letter, I write a quarterly letter 4 times a year in the same way. I read that letter every single day. Sometimes twice.

Again, it’s written as if my dream future has already happened.

The bulk of the letter is written around my wife Rachael and brother Michael. Depending on the quarter and how things are going, there are some special people that get shout outs throughout the year.

Needless to say, a lot of who I am, what I do, and what makes me, well me, is driven by the important people in my life.

And for them, I’m thankful.

It’s easy to be thankful when times are good.

But what about when times aren’t good? When things aren’t “so easy”?

I’ve written letters and been through those times too.

  • the times…you have no idea how you’re going to get your bills paid.

  • the times…you’re tracking behind quota and hear rumblings of cuts.

  • the times…every proposal you send gets ghosted by your top prospect.

  • the times…you go into debt to give your loved ones a great holiday season.

  • the times… you question if you are even good at sales or should get a new career.

Those times are when the letters matter the most.

And when being thankful is the hardest.

I’m here to tell you, I’m here, 36 years old, living in Upstate NY with my wife and brother. I’ve got a whole hell of a lot to be thankful for more than just the roof over my head and the food on the table.

And I’ve got plenty of times I didn’t have each.

One of the things I’m thankful for this year is the joint venture I’ve launched with Rick.

Helping people carry out their “dream letters”.

Rick and I have an offer for you.

(This is the exact last paragraph from Rick’s email. I suggest you read his as well.)

If we've met and you're thankful for that and you know somebody that should meet me, share this message with them. Rick Roberge and I will make a special offer. Because we've been there and because we got through it and because you know us and you know how we help people, we're gonna make this offer to the first 12 people that want something to be thankful for and want us to help.

Here's the offer.

You know that normally our engagements are 12 weeks.

Get on my calendar or Rick’s calendar before Thanksgiving. Tell us what would make you incredibly thankful.

  • Our 'official 12 week engagement' will be for 1Q25.

  • We'll evaluate your sales competencies immediately.

  • You'll get immediate access to impromptu coaching to address stalled deals, ignored proposals, resurrecting closed/lost deals that should have closed, finding new opportunities that will close this year, and anything else that will help you finish 2024 strong and give your family something to be thankful for.

If we don't speak, have a happy Thanksgiving, a joyous Christmas (or your special December Holiday) and a great 2025!

Until next week,

Chris
